What Really Helps with Depression?
Prozac, Paxil, and Zoloft vs. Omega 3 fatty acids and aerobic exercise. French researchers published that a decrease of polyunsaturated Omega 3 fatty acids and/or an increase of the Omega 6/Omega 3 ratio is found in people who are depressed. Diets in America contain too much Omega 6 fats (trans fats) and not enough Omega 3 fats. The research showed that Omega 3 fatty acids played a major role in cell fluidity and neurotransmission. This helps elevate depression. Aerobic exercise: Duke University found that a test group that exercised three times a week for 45 minutes each time had lower relapse rates than those taking Zoloft. The conclusion: exercise therapy is feasible and associated with significant benefit.

Try Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a branch of ancient Chinese medicine. It works primarily with needles (there are needle-free alternatives) to stimulate meridian (energy channels) points and restore normal balance and flow of Chi (life force). The body can then begin to repair itself. There are fourteen major energy channels in the human body. The objectives of acupuncture are: to relieve pain, to strengthen the immune system, and to balance the function of organs within the body. Try this modality for: allergies, arm pain, asthma, back pain, colds, constipation, headaches, indigestion, injury, knee pain, liver problems, rheumatism, sinus trouble, skin problems, and sore throat. This is a partial list of conditions treated.
